The Great Mustafa Kemal  Atatürk

On May 19, 1881, in Thessaloniki, Greece our great leader was born with the single name of "Mustafa." Later on the name "Kemal" was added by on of his elementary teachers. (it meant perfection) The name "Atatürk" means "father of Turkey."

Education Atatürk attended a Military School between 1896 - 1899, and then he entered the Military Academy and graduated on January 11, 1905 with the rank of major.
